Presented by Telstra and NGV
AI influences our lives whether we notice it or not. From scheduling public transport to financial management and national security, automated systems are doing everything from repetitive administrative tasks through to providing perceived impartiality in morally complex decision making. But who designs them, and who decides their influence? Does it matter whether we notice the influence of AI or not? Ellen Broad, Senior Fellow at the 3A Institute of the Australian National University, explores the choices designers face and the trade-offs they make in crafting AI systems that shape the lives of citizens.
Enjoy refreshments from the cash bar in Federation Court from 5.30PM and peruse the NGV Design Store which will be open late for guests of the keynote.
