About the Show

Throughout his career Francisco Goya produced images that were both humorous and critical depictions of Spanish society, commenting on gender relationships, childhood education, corruption and war.

Celebrating the opening of Goya: Drawings from the Prado Museum, NGV curators introduce various aspects of Goya’s work, considering how the artist’s drawings and prints provide unique insights into the complexities of human nature.
