About the Show

Smith Street Dreaming: One Street. Many Mobs. One Community.

Smith Street Dreaming 2019 celebrates the footprint of Koorie history in Collingwood and Fitzroy, featuring some of the best established and emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander musicians and artists.

Now in its seventh year, this project was developed by the Smith Street Working Group to celebrate the relationships between people who live, work or visit Smith Street, and to foster understanding and respect for everyone.

This years festival will feature the launch of photographer James Henry’s portrait project in tribute of ‘The Parkies‘ in paste ups along Stanley Street. As well as a community choir onstage led by renowned Fitzroy musician Dave Arden.  Full line up to be announced shortly.

This is a big-hearted and alcohol free event. Come and enjoy some hospitality around the fire with hot drinks and light lunch provided by Collingwood Soup Van.
