About the Show

N-G-A-R-G-E-E – COME AND JOIN THE BEE AT JPC!

The annual John Paul College production is an incredible community event which sees students and staff working side-by-side to create something truly magnificent.

This year’s production is – The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee ?

A musical comedy with music and lyrics by William Finn, a book by Rachel Sheinkin, conceived by Rebecca Feldman with additional material by Jay Reiss.  Originally produced on Broadway by David Stone, James L. Nederlander, Barbara Whitman, Patrick Catullo, Barrington Stage Company, Second Stage Theatre. Licensed exclusively by Music Theatre International (Australasia). All performance materials supplied by Hal Leonard Australia.

The show centers on a fictional spelling bee set in a Putnam Valley Middle School. Six awkward spelling champions learn that winning (and losing) isn’t everything.
