About the Show
The Whale’s Tale | Born in a Taxi (AUS)
A sick whale, a lost navigator, and ridiculous doctor, whatever could be the matter? Ever wonder what it’s like to be swallowed whole? You’re about to find out!
Put on your shrimp helmet, take a deep breath, and dive inside the jaws of Manilayo, the humpback whale.
You can watch from the shore, or submerge yourself in this thrilling show that’s full of surprises.
“The ingenuity of this manifestation must be acknowledged. It spurts water, ups a periscope; its eye the one we can see closes, opens and rolls; its huge mouth opens, its tongue lifts; its pectoral fin moves, its tail lifts … It is even able to poop out people!” John Smythe 2011 New Zealand Performing Arts Review.
There will be performances with Auslan translation at 12pm and 3pm on Tuesday 10 April.
